This is simply priceless to a mother of a 16 year old

Alert: This is one of 3,000 EFT Tapping articles that were written by users like you but before 2010. As such they are outdated and some of the links don't work. Nonetheless, they provide an excellent Peek at the Possibilities and show you the wide reach of even our older methods. See TRAINING for our free and near-free advanced methods.

Here is a highly practical use of EFT for a very common problem ... a distraught teenager. Vicki Hughes needed to calm her VERY upset daughter who had just received a speeding ticket. As you will see, in a matter of minutes the emotions mellowed and the whole issue became a philosophical one. In Vicki's words, "This is simply priceless to a mother of a 16 year old."

I have a 16 year old daughter who has watched with a mixture of mild curiosity and skepticism while I have successfully used EFT on her Dad and myself, and several of her friends, as well as numerous others. Up until last week, she has only let me use it on her one time for nausea, and when it went away, the familiar disbelief problem reared it's ugly head, and she was sure it went away for some other reason. However, late last week I got another shot.

Thursday night when she came in our bedroom she was distraught, and threw herself on our bed and was just sobbing. She's a pretty reserved young woman, so I knew something bad had happened. She had been running late, and was rushing (bad idea) and got a speeding ticket on her way home. There was no need to check her 0-10 intensity. If I'd been lame enough to ask, she'd probably have come unglued. (Getting a ticket in the first 6 months of having your license usually results in a suspended license).

When I finally could understand what the problem was, by seeing the ticket scrunched up in her hand, I got her to roll over on her back, and I started to tap on her, using set up statements like,

"Even tho I'm afraid I will lose my license, I choose to be calm," and

"Even tho I was speeding, I forgive myself for doing something stupid." (Slight chuckle thru the tears).

I had her say the following while I continued tapping the EFT shortcut version from her eyebrow to her the spot under her arm,

"Even tho I'm stressed out over this, I choose to learn a lesson from this," and

"Even tho I'm afraid of what the judge will say, I choose to have favor," as well as,

"Whenever I am running late, I can simply call ahead, I don't have to rush, it's not worth feeling like this." (Another chuckle thru less tears).

We did "Even tho I'm upset over this I realize that this could have kept me from having an accident."

After maybe 4-5 minutes, the tears were all gone, she was calm, and relaxed, and able to laugh a little bit about it! Trust me, that is NOT NORMAL! :o)

I have to say the other benefit was that my husband & I stayed completely calm. No yelling, or upset or anything. Little by little, she is starting to see for herself that this tapping stuff works! I was so delighted to be able to get such powerful results for her so quickly. Incidentally, she has had no further upset or stress over the likelihood of having her license suspended, she remains calm about it, and rather philosophical. This is simply priceless to a mother of a 16 year old.
