A clever approach to finding core memories

Hi Everyone,

Listen in as Eros Biasiolo from Ireland shows us some insightful digging to bring up his client's age 1 buried memory.

Hugs, Gary

By Eros Biasiolo

Dear Gary,

In one of my seminars in Italy (but my practice is in Ireland) a lady came up with an event she wanted to tap on but she didn't want to disclose in front of the public.  I remember she was sitting in the front row and I will call her Lucy.

So I say to her "Ok, there is no need to disclose your issue, I will ask you to give me a color that represents the event.  So if this event was a color, what color would that be?"  She said "lobster.” Now, I am not really sure if lobster is actually a color in English, but by lobster I know she meant an orange-like, coral red color.  This makes me laugh now as very few people would come up with such a color.

Anyway we tapped on Even though I have this lobster event...  That alone did seem to work but there was more to it.  During the break I would ask her if she wanted to have a quick 1-on-1 session and she said she would.  She then disclosed that her problem was "I can't say no".  She recognized that many times she would do or say things contrary to her own interest, especially buying expensive stuff, namely (two separate events) a black leather wallet and a lobster-colored jacket.

Apart from clearing the emotional charge in these events (which we did), she was willing to understand WHY she couldn't say no.  This is an obvious Psychological Reversal in which your mind says, "do not buy the wallet" and your heart (or emotions) say "if you say no they will judge you, etc."  So we tapped on: Even though I don't know why I can't say no…  Even though I can't say no…  Even though I can't remember when this began...

And then, the famous question, "If there was a first time in which you couldn't say no, when would that be?" NOTHING.  Other times I would have abandoned hope, but what I am going to say shows that persistence might be useful and can save some time.

So I said, "If you had to guess, what event would that be?"  She said, "I can't remember."  So I said, "And if you could remember, what event would that be?"  BINGO!  She recalled a memory of when she was ONLY ONE!

Common scientific paradigm and EFT experience would suggest that clients only recollect childhood memories from about the age of 4.  Hence my surprise.  She even remembered the dialogues, the room in her house and all the objects around her.  She told me that when she was born her father was away for business.  She only saw her father for the first time when she was eight months old and the second time when she was one year old.  That time her father came back from business and she wouldn't recognize him.  Her mother then asked her "How come you don't recognize your father?" At the time, she couldn't say no, either because she wasn't really able to speak or because she felt guilty of not being able to recognize her own father.  She is now a definite believer and tapper.

Cheers.
