After using EFT, Paul's 84 year old mum recovered very quickly from a surgical operation

Hi Everyone,

We have growing evidence that applying EFT before surgeries can substantially reduce the pain and after effects of going under the knife. Paul Bergman from the UK gives us a shining example of this and says, "Ten days after the operation (and a full week and a half earlier than expected) my mum was allowed home. There was no sign of any of the bruises either to her face or arm and all the nursing staff were amazed at how quickly she had recovered. They even mentioned that they were surprised at how little pain medication she had needed during her stay." Please consult physicians on all medical issues.

Hugs, Gary

Hi,

I thought I would share this story with you. Earlier this year my mum was diagnosed with a cancerous growth on her lip and needed surgery to remove it. This would involve the lump and some surrounding tissue being removed, then a skin graft and vein taken from her right arm to reconstruct the lower lip and then another skin graft from her abdomen to cover the arm. In all it was going to be a 10 hour operation. A huge operation for anyone to endure, let alone a 84-year old woman. Also, and by way of background, my mum is one of those people that bruises easily and takes ages to heal if she cuts herself. The consultant told us that she would be in the hospital for around three weeks and to expect her to be in intensive care for about four days following the operation.

A week to ten days prior to the date of the operation my mum said that she was feeling anxious and worried about the operation - her level of intensity was 10+ on a scale of 0 to 10. So we did a round of tapping:

Even though I am worried about this operation... We kept working on this until she was down to a 0 and then moved on to her other concern of:

Even though I am worried about leaving Len alone... (Len is my Dad who would be staying with me during her hospitalisation)

So the Monday morning of the operation arrived and everything went well and 10 hours later it was all over and she was taken to Intensive care as expected. The next day at around 2:30 in the afternoon I received a call from the hospital to say that she was being moved back to a general ward as she had recovered so well. This surprised even the consultant who said that people half her age usually need at least 48 hours to recover after such an operation.

The next day we paid a visit to the hospital and my mum was sitting up in the chair next to her bed watching TV. She even complained to us that the woman in the bed opposite (who was aged about 30 and had a similar operation) had not got up all day!

Apart from the stitches on the skin graft, her cheek and chin were bruised from the operation and her arm was also bruised where they had put in a needle for a drip.

Ten days after the operation (and a full week and a half earlier than expected) my mum was allowed home. There was no sign of any of the bruises either to her face or arm and all the nursing staff were amazed at how quickly she had recovered. They even mentioned that they were surprised at how little pain medication she had needed during her stay.

My mum is back at home now and doing well and is healing nicely thanks to EFT.

GC COMMENT:  This is a good example of how EFT often works well for immediate issues.  If Paul's Mum had not responded well to this approach, deeper uses of EFT would likely have helped.  See The Gold Standard (Official) EFT Tapping Tutorial for details.
