Hi Everyone,
Beverly Nadelman recovers quickly from a "boiling water accident." She says, "The next day when I showered again there was no indication of anything having happened at all. This stuff is incredible and endlessly fascinating."

Hi Gary-
I am self trained from the manual and videos and have been using EFT on myself, friends and family for a few years.
I have worked with pain fairly frequently, and have been able to ease some long standing and chronic issues, both for myself and others. I also used EFT once when a friend had an attack of extreme tachycardia.
I know the constant refrain is "Try on everything" but I never had occasion to witness and experience such immediacy as recently. I was working in my basement, three floors below my apartment. There is no running water there but I keep several jugs of water and an electric pot I use to boil water for the tea I drink during work breaks. (I build African and Native American style drums and flutes.)
I was absorbed in work when the pot boiled. Usually I stand and place the thermos on my small portable workbench before pouring, but the bench was occupied with a flute at a sensitive stage, so, sitting on a stool and holding the thermos in one hand, I poured the boiling water with the other - over the tops of my lower thighs and knees. My sweat pants soaked it all up very nicely and held it against my skin. Ouch! Major pain. After a couple of seconds of shock I immediately did a full round of EFT, including the 9 gamut procedure, on the pain.
Then I did another on the stupidity of pouring the way I had, and another on carelessness. By then the pain was down to a mere stinging. I went up to my apartment, did not bother with ice but washed the area briefly with cold water, changed my pants, did another round on the stinging and returned to the basement. I do not know when the stinging disappeared as I was working, but by the time the hot pot had boiled again, it was gone.
Later, when I took my shower I was almost startled to see that the skin was bright red, but there was no pain so I forgot about it completely. So much so that this morning, while dressing, when I noticed that the skin above my right knee was pink and very slightly blistered, I could not for a moment think why. The left knee appeared unmarked and neither one hurt at all, even with pressure on the irritated area. Then I remembered what had happened. I did a round of EFT for the fast recovery of my skin and another on being kind to myself and went about my business. The next day when I showered again there was no indication of anything having happened at all.
This stuff is incredible and endlessly fascinating.
Beverly
