Dear Gary,
I just heard from a woman who had taken one of my EFT workshops so she could help her 12 year old daughter get through the cancer therapy she had to undergo for a brain tumor.
As soon as she stated her purpose, I informed her that although EFT might be able to reduce her child's pain, I didn't know whether it would heal the tumor. She was undaunted and was an avid student. She paid rapt attention and was excellent in absorbing EFT and practiced it feverishly. When the class was over, I bid her farewell and good luck with her daughter and didn't hear from her again until just recently.
Out of the blue, she called to thank me for teaching her EFT. I thanked her for being such a great student and then asked how her daughter was. Her voice quivered a bit and she related that she had died about six months before. I offered my condolences and she thanked me and then told me how EFT had made such a difference in her daughter's life.
She related that her daughter had found that EFT was the only thing that gave her any relief from the constant pain and the paralyzing headaches she'd get from time to time as her condition grew worse. Yet, she pointed out that her daughter would always come to her and ask her to "do the tapping" on her and she would gladly comply as she relieved her pain.
One important thing she pointed out was that, after she learned EFT, she no longer had to sit around and "twiddle her thumbs" for lack of being able to do anything for her daughter's suffering. She was very pleased to just be able to "do something" rather than just sit by helplessly as her daughter grew worse before her eyes. She said her daughter could sleep at night right up to the end because of EFT and the relief it brought her.
She related that EFT had also helped her younger daughter as well. After the older one passed on she suddenly started to worry that she was going to die of a brain tumor too. Each time these fears arose in her, she was able to use EFT to relieve them within minutes.
She also told me that her grief from losing her daughter had not been as bad as she had originally feared and she credited EFT with that fact.
These are just some of the reasons that I am eternally grateful for you developing EFT and selflessly offering it to the world. You and EFT have changed the world already and these are just some examples of how profound those changes are to every family that EFT has touched.
