Tip About the Search Box

In addition to the list above, we recommend using the Search Box at the top of this page (and every page on the site). Simply enter keywords or phrases such as anxiety, snake phobia, panic, anger, or guilt. The search will scan thousands of articles and present you with a list of relevant results containing those terms, and closely related ones. It is an efficient and practical way to find exactly what you are looking for.

Final Bonus: Is EFT Scientifically Proven?

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) has been increasingly studied since the early 2000s. More than 200 researchers worldwide have investigated its effectiveness, including contributors affiliated with institutions such as Harvard Medical School, Bond University, and University of Zurich.

Systematic reviews and meta-analyses indicate that EFT can be effective for a range of psychological and physical conditions. Within the framework of the American Psychological Association, EFT has been described in multiple publications as an evidence-based intervention for anxiety, depression, phobias, and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. In South Korea, EFT has also been recognized by the government as a treatment option for PTSD.

The evidence base continues to expand into areas such as chronic pain, stress regulation, and weight management, while ongoing research further refines its applications.

Novet - The EFT Standard contributes to the continuation and standardization of EFT training as a training institute and guardian of the official EFT standards. It systematically monitors global research and translates these findings into professional training based on the original EFT method developed by Gary Craig. This lineage is continued by Gabriëlle Rutten, the appointed successor of Gary Craig, who leads the development and training standards at Novet.

Based on current literature, EFT can be considered evidence-based for several applications, while research in other areas is still evolving.
