A Newbie overcomes her own needle phobia

Hi Everyone,

Newbie Kathy Mims was highly needle phobic and did brief rounds of EFT just before having blood work done.  The result? No fear or hysterics for the first time in her life.

by Kathy Mims

Dear Gary: I have been on your mailing list for some time and have had an "intellectual" interest in EFT but never took the time to put it into practical application. Yesterday, I had to have blood work done .... and I am highly needle phobic. Although I'm 54, I generally revert to about age 2 in behavior when faced with blood work or hypodermic needles. So, I figured if there were any time to put EFT into practical application, now was the time. My setup was "even though I have an irrational fear of needles and I act like a baby....". I only had time for two rounds of tapping, and I don't think I did those quite in the right order. I'm pretty sure I never got to the core issue. Even so ... For the first time in my life, I was able to have blood drawn without fear or hysterics. The tech even had to dig around with the needle a little (I have very bad veins) and I was still relaxed and okay with it. I was amazed. I'm sold. I'm going to learn how to do this properly and use it on EVERYTHING! Kathy Mims

Followup

Gary: Thought I'd follow up to let you know that to this day (years later) it still works.  I have had to have bloodwork done regularly and, from that one brief tapping on the issue, I still remain calm and quiet when having the bloodwork done.  I believe I am completely over it.  It continues to amaze me. I go to a holistic physician and told her about the needlephobia and the tapping.  She has stated she will be incorporating EFT for many of her patients with the same issue. Regards, Kathy Mims
