Hi Everyone,
This story by Michael White shows how he truly connected with his aunt. It also displays how useful EFT can be for a frail person without much time left.
Hugs, Gary

Gary,
30 years ago one of my aunts was estranged from my family. Without going into too much detail, she moved across the country and lost contact with my family. She was not talked about much in my family; all we knew was that she had, "problems". I met her once when I was five.
As time passed, and we all got older, my father reconnected with my aunt Charlotte. By this time she had been through two abusive marriages, had been diagnosed with schizophrenia, overcome a drug addiction, and was now diagnosed with emphysema, diabetes, and congestive heart failure after smoking for 40 years (yes, she'd been through a lot). She could barely walk and was hooked up to oxygen and was 200 pounds overweight.
My family planned a Thanksgiving reunion so that we could get reacquainted with my aunt and cousins (this was two years ago). She was at her daughter's house, struggling to breathe and walk. Nervously I thought to myself, "why not?" So I told her about EFT and we did it in front of everyone. She was very open to trying it and was amazed by the results. Her wheezing lessened and her breathing relaxed and by the end of the session, she could walk across the room, a huge feat for her.  And she wasn't stuck on the couch gasping for air for an hour.
This was the beginning of a two year relationship that has changed my life forever. I would call her every 2 or 3 days (from Seattle to Portland) and we would tap on the various issues she had. There is a long list of successes over the two years we worked together that I'll share with you.
Crossing the room:Â She could walk from her kitchen to the bathroom back to the living room (while still hooked up to oxygen) without having to stop and catch her breath.
Wheezing and Crackling: Because of the terrible condition of her lungs and enlarged heart, she had a lot of fluid in her bronchial tubes. EFT would clear this out in a matter of minutes.
Lung capacity increases: This is in no way scientific, but when we first started tapping, she rated her lung capacity at 25%. After persistent tapping, she was at 45 - 50% consistently.
Rapid Lucidity: She was in and out of the hospital a lot throughout the end of her life. Late in 2006, we received the call that it might be the end for her. I sped down to Portland from Seattle to see her. By the time I got there, she had already died once, and had been brought back and was barely cognizant of what was going on.Â
At this point, we were old hats at EFT together so I started to rub her karate chop point. She came around - to the point that she was let out of the hospital 3 days later. Her doctor and her daughter told her that he thought it was the EFT that brought her back and that he was amazed by her turnaround. By the end of our session that night she was yelling "whoo hoo" and we were laughing together. We did a lot of motivational, powerful work together and she loved to tap and say "I'm electrified!" We looked crazy and it was awesome. The nurses were freaked out. Heh heh.
Healing past hurts: This was a big one for both of us because there were a lot of untold painful stories in my family. We tapped for her relationships with her children, sisters, and parents and my relationships with my parents and siblings. We surrogate tapped for our ancestors, releasing a lot of old pain and disease.
Losing weight: EFT helped her lose over 130 pounds. We tapped and eliminated her intense sugar craving. No more cookies, which for a diabetic is extremely important.
I'd love to say that EFT created a complete turn around but I can't. After years of having to take steroids for her emphysema, her bones became so brittle that the slightest movement would cause them to snap. Earlier this year, she broke two vertebrae and was in constant pain. The doctors did the best they could to keep her comfortable, but there was little they could do. Her body had had enough and she died.
I went through a period where I asked myself, "Could I have done more? Why didn't it completely heal her? Should I have moved down there?" and so on.  I was really feeling guilty. I realize now (with the help of EFT) that Charlotte and I developed a friendship that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I look back at the two years we had together with a lot of joy and still some sorrow. I love my aunt and I miss one of my best friends.
EFT allowed me to see beyond the "problems", the physical ailments and past trauma. It allowed me to connect with someone so I could see the vibrancy and happiness she radiated. I figure that we worked over 200 hours together, tapping and talking and getting to know one another. I haven't really had a connection like the one I had with her.Â
I want to thank you Gary for giving this gift to Charlotte and me, we wouldn't have had what we did without it. To anyone who is skeptical of its power to heal, I pray that you get to experience something like I did. If you do, you'll see what I mean. Trust me.
