An encouraging example of using EFT for Crohn's Disease

Hi Everyone,

Mark Ellis writes this story about his daughter's experience with EFT and Crohn's Disease. While there is no way to prove EFT's role in her improvement, I thought it would provide encouragement for those with this ailment.

Hugs, Gary

By Mark Ellis

Gary,

My daughter was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease at the age of 16 while still in high school. We're sure that she was dealing with it for much longer but it went undiagnosed for over a year. The doctors told her that her chest pains could be caused by a hiatus hernia, acid reflux or my favorite, anxiety syndrome. Of course she had anxiety, no one could tell her why she was feeling so bad and losing so much weight. Finally after a trip to the Emergency Room with de-hydration, we were advised to see a Gastroenterologist. Within 48 hours she was evaluated, scoped and diagnosed with Crohn's Disease.

Also during this time in her life, two very good friends of hers lost their mothers to cancer thereby adding more stress and anxiety to a disease driven by stress and anxiety. She is also the type of person that takes on the issues of her closest friends and internalizes in a way that adds to an already emotional state.

I introduced her to EFT to help deal with the deaths of her friends’ mothers. She was very close to both women and had to deal with the loss as if it were her own family member.

She is now in her freshman year of college and uses EFT to battle Crohn's and the stresses of college life. She completed a research paper in her 1st semester on the differences between conventional Psychology and EFT using many of the books listed on the EFT website for her research. She got an A in the writing class.

She has been on many different medications over the past 2 years to battle the Crohn's Disease and has eliminated many along the way. She now uses a self-injection of Humira every 2 weeks which makes it much easier for her while she's away at college. At her last office visit her doctor discussed the possibility of taking her off of all the medication this summer as she is confident that if she were to scope her right now she would find no evidence of the Crohn's. That's not to say that she is free of the disease, it's just in remission and may not need the medication.

Does her use of EFT have anything to do with this? I don't know, but I do know that she is in a much better emotional state than she was 2 years ago. She now has a tool to use to keep the stress and anxiety from affecting her health.

Do we have any "medical" proof of this? No. Does her doctor know about the EFT? No. You know better than anyone how difficult it is to introduce EFT to the medical field, but I am very encouraged by the progress we have made so far and will continue to fight this condition with everything we have at our disposal, including this amazing gift of EFT.

Thank You,

MARK ELLIS
