Dear Folks,
I am submitting my second successful experience with hiccoughs! My husband and I performed the technique together. The event turned out like this: We used a driver from a motel to take us to the airport. After loading our bags and getting started, he began to apologize for having the hiccoughs. They were every few seconds and made it uncomfortable for him to drive and talk at the same time.Â
We were seated behind him in the van and we turned to look at each other and started smiling for we knew what we were going to do! We asked him if he would like for us to help him get rid of them by doing some energy work that would not interfere while he drove. He said sure enough because he admittedly had tried everything to quell them. So we asked him how long he had had them and could he entertain the idea that some emotional component could be behind them? He said that it sure was possible but did not elaborate and that he had them since 5 am without stopping. So we started tapping on our bodies as surrogates saying:
Even though Juan has the hiccoughs, he loves and accepts himself.
Even though Juan has had the hiccoughs since getting up at 5 am, he loves and accepts himself.
Even though Juan has tried everything to stop them, he still loves and accepts himself.
Even though Juan is not sure what we are doing in the seat behind him, he loves and accepts himself.
Even though Juan has a recent emotional issue, he loves and accepts himself.
Even though Juan does not know why he has the hiccoughs, he loves and accept himself.
So, soon we were arriving at the airport and there were no more hiccoughs! He was incredulous! We got out of the van and started to give him a tip, and he said, "No, I owe you everything!" We complimented him on being open to the energy work and he said he has an aunt who knows something about this as well, and was anxious to tell her of his experience with us. So with using a half dozen statements by novices sitting behind him, his hiccoughs were successfully eliminated.
