This article by April G. Roundy puts yet another exclamation point behind EFT's highly useful "Borrowing Benefits" concept. She explains the idea to a small group and then relieves a nausea issue for one client while the rest tap along. As is typical, everyone benefited...some of them dramatically.

Hi Gary,

I have had some really awesome experiences doing group sessions with clients in the Criminal Justice System--Domestic Violence (Anger Management), DUI's (Drug and Alcohol abuse), shoplifting etc. I will share with you the most recent experiences.

Last Saturday an all female Domestic Violence group. (These are all people who have been arrested and are taking the classes in lieu of more jail time). We did Borrowing Benefits while specifically working on a women who was very nauseous, feeling the need to throw up and wanting to go home. I briefly explained EFT and the Borrowing Benefits process, had them write down a present issue and give it a 0-10 intensity rating. Then we began tapping on the nausea.

In two rounds, the nauseous client went from a 9 to a 4. "Even though I feel very nauseous"... "Even though my twins have been sick and I knew I would probably get sick"..., "Even though I just plain don't feel good"... on the third round her nausea was completely gone, but she had some heartburn remaining, one round of tapping on "Even though I still have some heartburn"... and she was at a zero with everything. Her color was back and she stayed that way for the entire group session.

The rest of the group also went from a high 0-10 intensity rating to a zero or 1 on a wide variety of issues. Very bad headache, 9 to a 1, Feeling Angry,15+ down to a zero, Asthma and having a hard time getting a good breath, 10 to a zero. All of this done while everyone Borrowed Benefits while tapping along with the woman who had nausea.
