Burns, bee stings and the like

Alert: This is one of 3,000 EFT Tapping articles that were written by users like you but before 2010. As such they are outdated and some of the links don't work. Nonetheless, they provide an excellent Peek at the Possibilities and show you the wide reach of even our older methods. See TRAINING for our free and near-free advanced methods.

Hi Everyone,

Jessica Gillies (from Australia) spilled hot coffee on herself and relieved the pain in short order. How many times do we do this kind of thing and don't think to tap? Good reminder here.

Hugs, Gary

Hello Gary,

I just read the mail from Steve Wells about his client's cough, and was reminded that I wanted to write to you about a time when I spilt boiling hot coffee over my wrist. I was not in a position to use any form of medication on the burn at the time, and my skin showed all the usual redness - to varying degrees of intensity - and was extremely painful.

I was in a public place, and so a bit conscious about actively tapping, so I used the TAB procedure on the 7 EFT Basic Recipe points.

GC COMMENT: For those not familiar with it, TAB stands for Touch And Breathe and is a process whereby the client merely touches the point and takes one breath before moving on to the next one. Dr. John Diepold's paper (and full explanation) on this process is given on our web site. Click here to go right to it.

JESSICA CONTINUES: The first round I focussed on the pain, which was really, really intense, and it subsided to a sharp stinging sensation. I then immediately did another round on the stinging, which subsided to a feeling of discomfort, and naturally I then did a round on the discomfort.

And to my utter delight, by this time I was completely pain free - somewhat incredulous, as the redness was still very evident on my skin, and I remained pain free from then on. The whole process only took about 2-3 minutes. I hadn't used EFT for such obvious physical problems in the past, but do so regularly now, and had similar results with a very nasty muscle strain injury - three rounds and all the pain was gone, and full range of movement was restored!!

GC COMMENT: Along these lines, Joann Callahan (Dr. Roger Callahan's wife) had the personal experience of tapping on a severe bee sting and watching the swelling subside right before her eyes.

JESSICA CONTINUES: I find that if I do the treatment immediately after the problem occurs that I seem to get better results than when I apply it some time after the event?? Bit hard to do this with clients, particularly with the physical problems, but with those who are using EFT already, I do explain to them to "try it on anything" and as immediately as possible!!!

With a big smile, oceans of gratitude, and warm regards from Jessica.
