EFT eliminates fear of flying--over the telephone

Hi Everyone,

Note how Alexander Welch from the UK points EFT at the particularly upsetting parts of his client's fear of flying. This is often helpful when you are doing EFT before a plane trip.

Hugs, Gary

Hi Gary

I thought Id let you know about the first time I used EFT over the telephone.  I was called by a former hypnotherapy client whose fear of flying had returned.  She was about to take a trip to Goa and, for time reasons, I was unable to see her in person.  As a former hypnotherapy client, she had already met me, so I called her and suggested that EFT might be the answer.  We decided to give it a go over the telephone.

I had never done this over the phone before, so I took extra care in describing the tapping points.  We then started the therapy and her anxiety was very low, and she was sure that the fear would only start on the plane.  So I got to work using her imagination.  I asked her to tell me about the worst scenario, and it concerned turbulence.  I used descriptive language about what turbulence actually felt like, and we got her level of intensity to rise.  We then started tapping.

Even though I’m terrified of flying…

Even though the whole plane is shaking...

Even though I feel totally out of control...

Even though I feel like being sick with terror...

Even though the plane might fall from the sky…

With each round of tapping, I asked her what was coming into her mind, and we tapped on that.  The worse the thoughts the better!

I was pretty amazed when after only half an hour, she was laughing loudly, and couldn’t remember what it was that had frightened her in the first place.  Here’s what she had to say about it.

I first met Alex in 2006 to have hypnotherapy to help me with my fear of flying.  Whilst the session alleviated some tension, I still felt fearful.  Disappointed, I called Alex again, telling him about my fear returning.  It was then that he told me of the new technique that he was practicing called EFT.  At first I was hesitant as the process sounded quite bizarre.  And, admittedly, I was skeptical about it actually working.  I thought that NOTHING could really help me.  NOTHING.  Needless to say, I trusted and went ahead and had an EFT session with Alex.  To my absolute joy, not only did my fear of flying disappear ... I actually began to enjoy plane journeys.  In the past when turbulence would have sent me into a panic attack, on my last trip, I found it all fun!  I  NEVER thought that I could feel this way.  I am so grateful that I had EFT.  Andrea K. Manchester.

I received emails from Goa  telling me how wonderful the flights had been, and on her return she told me  that she had been able to help another passenger during turbulence, which she said she would never have done before, even when she had no fears herself.  EFT had worked a small miracle as far as she was concerned.
