EFT helps release nervousness before an important meeting

Hi Everyone,

This is a major use for EFT. Many people suffer from the "pre-meeting jitters" and Sharon Elaine is no exception. She gives us a detailed description of how she collapsed this important issue and was shocked at how calm she felt when the dreaded meeting actually occurred.

Wow, EFT sure came in handy on my recent visit to California.  I was there visiting my sisters, but I also got to meet my Australian book publisher (who just happened to be in LA from Australia the same week).  I was very nervous about meeting him (well 1/2 nervous, 1/2 excited).  In the morning as I was getting ready, I tapped as I began to feel nervous.  At one point I honestly heard my thoughts say, "You can't go, you'll make a fool out of yourself, just stay here.”  So I tapped:

Even though I'm afraid I'll make a fool out of myself…

Even though I know he won't be impressed with me...

Even though I feel fat and unattractive…

Even though I don't feel like a successful and confident author should feel...

It wasn't just the potential fear of meeting someone who is so important to me, but it was also that I was going to be driving my sister's car in an unknown area of California.  I wasn't sure about the parking, or anything.  Every single part of that meeting that I would think about, freaked me out.  I couldn't seem to find a calm thing to focus on.  So I began:

Even though I'm sure I'll get lost and have nowhere to park...

Even though I know all the other drivers will know I don't know where I'm going...

Even though I'm sure I'll be sweating and unattractive when I get there...

I somehow got through getting ready and getting in the car and began to drive.  I couldn't do any tapping while I was driving, so I decided to do mental tapping all the way there.  Here is how some of that went:

Even though I'm so nervous I'm sure I won't make a good impression...

Even though I don't think I can be myself...

Even though I think successful authors should be past all of this nervousness...

Even though I feel like a freak for even BEING this nervous...

Even though I feel like he won't like me or my new book proposals...

Even though I did all that work on those proposals and I think he'll just hand them back to me, unread...

Even though I'm sure he'll be able to tell I don't know what I'm doing...

I got to the meeting, and felt amazingly relaxed.  I was shocked.  I found the place easily, I found parking easily, which really shocked me.  I found my publisher, and he even had the man there who designed my new book cover.  I wasn't even nervous about this new change in plans, and was happy to meet him.

I was totally myself throughout our entire meeting and they seemed to love me, and I loved both of them.  I met with them for about an hour and a half and left with really great feelings.  I spent the entire drive back being so thankful.  It worked even better than I thought it would, on something that meant so much to me.
