Hi Everyone,

Leisa Miller is a student of seasoned EFT'er Brad Yates and shows us how, in moments, she minimizes her daughter's very severe sore throat. This is a very practical use of EFT and one that belongs in the "EFT First Aid" kit of every household. Please consult physicians on all medical issues.

Hugs, Gary

Yesterday my daughter woke up with a sore throat, but went about her business anyway.  This morning she woke up with a severe sore throat, and we could see the tissue in the back of her throat was white on one side.  She had been very tired all week, dragging really.  We thought it might be strep throat.

Took her to the doctor this morning,  No strep throat, but possibly mono.  (Lab results won't be in until Monday.)  She was very emotional throughout the whole 2-1/2-hour time period of dealing with the doctor's office and lab, crying on and off.  Of course she was feeling worse and worse, and by the time we got home she was beside herself.  Her stomach was hurting because she was hungry, but her throat was too sore to swallow anything.  Now she had a headache and her ear hurt from the sinus pressure.  She was having a melt down.

I had never tapped with her before, although she'd seen me do it once, and of course made fun of me.  Anyway, I asked her if she'd be willing to just tap along, I would say the words, and see if it would give her some relief.  She resisted, but I encouraged her to just give it a try.  Actually, I promised her she would feel better.  So we started in.  She did the karate chop point herself, and then I took her hand and guided her through the tapping points, essentially me tapping her with her hand.  Because of this I didn't tap on myself, as I had intended.

The phrases I used on the karate chop point were:

Even though I have this horrible sore throat, I'm so hungry, my ear hurts, and I hate feeling so bad, I deeply and completely...

Even though I feel so terrible, my throat hurts so bad, my stomach hurts, I hate having to be in bed, I'm missing out on so much, I deeply and completely ...

Even though I hate feeling so awful, my throat hurts, my ear hurts, I'm so hungry, I deeply and completely ...

I forgot to have her rate her sore throat pain before we started, so I had her rate it right after the karate chop point and she said it was a 10.

Then I took her hand and while tapping on the points would go through, my sore throat, my hurting ear, my stuffy nose, feeling so awful, etc.  I alternated to her other hand and went through I deeply and completely love and accept my strong body and strong immune system.

After the first round she was at an eight.  The noticeable thing to me was that she finally was able to stop crying.

Then the next round with, Even though my sore throat is at an eight, I deeply and completely ...  Again, I am doing the tapping for her with her hand.

That got her down to a six.  What I noticed was that she was much calmer and seemed to be ready to fall asleep, so I decided to let it go at that.

I left her room, and about 10 minutes later she came out of her room.  She had gotten a call from a friend to meet her out front.  I'm watching her talking to her friend thinking, hmm.  So I went out and asked her how she would rate her throat now.  She swallowed and said 2!!  By the time she came back inside about 5 minutes later, she said it didn't hurt at all!

By the time I got her something to eat about a half hour later, she was back at a 2.  So I told her after she ate we'd tap again before she went back to sleep.

What a great feeling it is as a mom to be able to give my child that kind of relief so quickly and without drugs!!!

Hope your day is going splendidly!  Leisa
