Hi Everyone,
Phobias come in many varieties and EFT provides likely relief for all of them. In this case by Jim Burdick, his client had an intense fear of buttons that was untouched by his first simple EFT approach. Then, after discovering a core issue, the phobia vanished.

Hi Gary,
I saw a client who had a very strange phobia and we couldn't do a thing with it until we found the core issue.
This lady told me of her deep fear of buttons. She asked me if I had noticed that she has never worn clothes with buttons during our previous sessions. Of course I hadn't. She told me that one time she and her girlfriend had gone to an arts and crafts sale and the girlfriend called her over to see the unique lamp shade covered with buttons. She told me she took one look at it, screamed, and turned around and ran.
We tapped on the fear of buttons to no avail. So I offered to take her back to her childhood to find the problem. She told me at age 4 she had a teddy bear with big black ugly button eyes. We tapped on teddy bear with big black ugly button eyes to no avail.
Then she remembered (a new aspect) that she was born with a problem in her abdomen and the surgery left her with a scar. Then some years later her older sister told her that she had the scar because she had swallowed a button and had to have surgery to remove the button. We tapped on, Even though I swallowed a button and had to have surgery to remove it...
After the setup we tapped on swallowing a button and we barely got through the first round when she perked up and said it was gone. She proved it by reaching over and touching her son’s button who was in session with us. I asked her about it the next week and she told me buttons are no longer a problem.
As someone who has been doing this for just a few months with about 70% success, this was a learning moment for me. I personally tap daily on my sinus drainage and lower back pain. I believe what I have learned from this is that a chronic problem recurs because the core issue has not been discovered. I am thinking that if I could find my core issues then the problems would likely go away permanently.
