Injured toe gains relief using two important EFT concepts

Alert: This is one of 3,000 EFT Tapping articles that were written by users like you but before 2010. As such they are outdated and some of the links don't work. Nonetheless, they provide an excellent Peek at the Possibilities and show you the wide reach of even our older methods. See TRAINING for our free and near-free advanced methods.

Tania de Winne, MD from Belgium illustrates two important concepts as she uses EFT to relieve a severely injured toe: (1) The use of SPECIFICITY in aiming EFT at the pain and (2) the use of PASSION in the EFT language to address stubborn issues (I've had clients literally YELL the SetUp Statements and usually achieved some success in doing so).

By Tania de Winne, MD

Hi Gary,

On May 3rd at 11 a.m. I slipped and fell coming down from the stairs, carrying my 1 yr old daughter on my left hip. She was OK. I had scraped my left elbow and had hurt my left buttock pretty badly. It turned black and stayed that way for 2 weeks. The 4th toe on my right foot had hit the bannister and there was a fissure in the bone (clinical symptoms of a fracture/fissure, no X-ray). Needless to say that the toe had swollen to twice it's size in about 5 minutes and the purple color it took on was neatly delineated at the first joint. Because I'm a mother of 4, I didn't have time to tap until 11 p.m. that night. And then I did it PASSIONATELY! Because that toe was hurting like hell by then.

I was very specific about the localization of the 'discomfort':

"Although my 4th toe on the right side has swollen to twice it's size, I deeply and completely accept myself"

"Although my 4th toe....is black and blue and hurting like hell,...."

"Although ..... is probably broken or cracked, I deeply.... and I ask my bone cells lovingly to please hurry up and mend that crack."

After this Setup phrase I felt a surge of energy going from my heart to my poor toe.

I kept at it for about 15 minutes, when my husband arrived. He 's head of an emergency ward at a big local hospital and, after inspecting my injuries, wanted to drug me with painkillers and give me a plaster boot for the next 3 weeks. I declined gracefully, told him the pain was bearable (which it was) and went to sleep. The next day I went about my business limping with a sore buttock and a sore toe, but the swelling had subsided. The toe just hurt when I leaned on it.

The next day, the second day after my fall, I still hadn't tapped again, the toe was fine! No swelling, no purple-blue color. There only was a faint purplish line along the edge of the nail. In fact, that night I went to a friend's 40th birthday party in high heeled shoes and danced. My husband couldn't believe his eyes and still is very, very skeptical about the EFT-procedure and all of that woo-woo stuff his wife is filling her spare time with. But he couldn't deny the results either.

Note that I didn't tap for my buttock and elbow: they took 2 to 3 weeks to heal (a normal healing period according to the 'normal' medical concepts).

Maybe because I was very specific in my setup, I didn't have 'borrowing benefits' for my buttock and elbow?

Anyway, I keep on exploring this wonderful technique. Thank you so much for putting it out there for everybody to benefit from it.

Big hugs,

Dr. Tania de Winne
