Hello Gary,

I recently read the case of Rhonda with the "Essential Tremor" - it reminded me of something that I experienced last fall.  The relationship may seem vague, but I do believe that we "inherit" tendencies in some fashion or another.  My experience may shed another angle to this understanding.

Early in October, I developed a lump on my neck in the area of the lymphatic glands.  At first, it was very small, but it quickly enlarged to the size of a shooter marble (3/4 - 1" in diameter).  The lump was not painful, but it was large enough to be uncomfortable when I turned my head sideways or nodded.

I did EFT for the lump, for my fear that it might be lymphoma (my father died of lymphoma in October 1995), for any unresolved issues around my father, etc.  There was no change in the lump and it persisted for almost a month.

Meanwhile, I had been doing a series of shamanic workshops with Hank Wesselman - so I read up on everything Hank had written on the topic of Hawaiian ancestral shamanism.  In his book, Spirit Medicine, (p.209-217) Hank states the Hawaiian belief that our energy body is derived from three sources:  the energy of our mother, our father, and our personal oversoul. 

He continues with a story.  In his early 50's, Hank developed a sore throat that would not go away.  After several visits to doctors and prescriptions for allergy pills, he began to look to his spirit teachers for the answer.  It turns out that his grandfather had developed throat cancer at about the same age and had surgery yielding a distorted energy field, which was still present even after his death.  Hank recounts the experience of helping to heal his Grandfather's energy body in shamanic trances.  Soon thereafter, his sore throat disappeared.

I applied this understanding to use EFT to heal my father's energy body - doing a short session with such phrases as,

Even though you suffered greatly with your lymphatic cancer…

Even though you left my mother with Alzheimer's in the nursing home when you swore you'd take care of her until she died…

Even though my sisters were greatly inconvenienced by coming to your bedside in the last weeks…

Even though your energy body still bears the distortions of the cancerous lumps, the radiation therapy and the chemotherapy…

I "forgot" about the lump in my neck and didn't check for 2 days, at which time it was completely gone!
