Hi Everyone,
Dawn Murray from Canada uses surrogate EFT to help her son with a migraine headache. While on the phone with him, she taps surrogately while he discusses underlying guilt issues.
Hugs, Gary

Our youngest son Shane called from his cell phone and I distinctly heard a big disruption in his voice. He said he was alright, although he was in the beginning stages of a migraine and he still had so many things to do before the migraine kicked in full force.
As an EFT practitioner, disruptions like this are what I work with everyday but I do not push it on my family. I asked Shane if I could help him out. He sounded like he was running out of energy very quickly I told him I was going to start tapping FOR him. My intention was to assist him in relieving his pain.
I tapped the whole time I spoke with him and asked him to tell me what was happening. Shane is a heavy duty equipment salesman and was heading out on a call that was an hour away. He told me how bad he had felt that he had not made it out to see two of his clients, he even had some parts to take to them and it had been three weeks since he thought he could have delivered them, and that made him feel worse. He was telling me that he just had been so busy at the office with customers coming in that he hadn’t taken the time to get out of the city. I could hear guilt and shame in his words while he was telling me how upset he was and I kept tapping surrogately for him while he spoke of all the disruptions.
My next question was to ask where that “upset” was in his body and he immediately said it was in his chest. I was pleased that Shane just went with me on this as I had not used this type of technique with him before. I then asked him when he’d felt this way before, and he chuckled (this told me he was feeling slightly better already), and said it reminded him of the time I caught him skipping school and then he asked me if I remembered the incident.
Truthfully, I had no recollection of it, but he sure did. I suggested he tell me about it while I tapped for him. He had skipped school knowing that no one would know as he got home before his Dad or me. He jumped when he heard the back door open and heard me walk in. Shane immediately ran to the closet and hid. I came stomping down the stairs as I had recognized his shoes at the door, went into his room and went straight to the closet. He said he had the same feeling then as now, he’d been caught, there was no escaping, and he had to face the fire. I had not recalled the incident but went straight to work with him on his disruption having him repeat while I tapped
Even though I feel this guilt in my chest and it’s a very ugly feeling… (He interjected with his own words) …tight feeling … I know I should have been out to these customers sooner … they are going to kick my butt … and I will deserve it.
Both of my customers are big men and they have every right to take their frustration out on me for not getting their parts in an appropriate time span. I can tell them my story but they don’t really care, it didn’t help them repair the broken piece of equipment, it only made their job harder.
Shane ranted on for a few more sentences and then I asked him if it might be possible that those men would be incredibly glad to see him that day when he did finally show up with the parts. He was silent for a moment and said that he had not considered that at all, he just focused on his lack of responsibility to his customer and how mad they’d be but that maybe they had been able to limp along with the old part and … maybe the parts were just spares to have on hand … and that would explain why they had never called to hassle him to get those parts out to them.
I suggested to him that that was very good reasoning and that with me tapping and his allowing the negative emotions to be released, that another, more satisfying thought had occurred. With this, he announced that he had arrived at his destination and had to go. He thanked me and we hung up.
Late that same evening I listened to my messages and to my complete joy there was one from Shane. He wanted to sincerely thank me for all my help. Not only did his customers greet him like the prodigal son, they took time out to sit with him for a couple of hours and ask what was new and exciting in his equipment line and even bought another piece of equipment.
But the greatest part was that he went home, had dinner with his wife and little girl, they had a super evening. He was surprised that he didn't have to pull over to the side of the road with unrelenting pain of the migraine. He expected that he would have been sick to his stomach and not made it to his customers again, instead having to stay still for several hours. He'd had visions of limping home, spent and sick. Nothing makes a mother feel better than positively helping her children, no matter how old they are.
I called Shane the next day to remind him that he really did the healing, it was simply smoothing out the disruption in his energy system. I suggested that the connection between the headache, his physical pain and his guilt, the emotion behind it, were all tappable issues and if at any time he felt that way again, he could just tap for himself.
Out of curiosity I also asked what his commission would be on the sale of the equipment that day. He told me and I was quite impressed. My immediate thoughts were of Gary’s suggestion of charging by the result; I could have made a bundle. The payment from this was worth more than money but it showed me more of my worth. Thanks once more Gary.
