Using color to get to the core issue behind a headache

Alert: This is one of 3,000 EFT Tapping articles that were written by users like you but before 2010. As such they are outdated and some of the links don't work. Nonetheless, they provide an excellent Peek at the Possibilities and show you the wide reach of even our older methods. See TRAINING for our free and near-free advanced methods.

Hi Everyone,

Here's a clever approach by Gabriele Rother from Germany. She simply asks the client to tap and see what color comes up. Then she intuitively follows the color with more questions and brings up an important core issue. Give it a try.

Hugs, Gary

By Gabriele Rother

A lady visited me recently.  She’d had headaches since her early childhood.  I asked her to do EFT with colours - to tap a point one to two minutes and to notice what colour comes up.

She tapped the first point at the eyebrow and the colour yellow came to her mind.  I asked her, what yellow meant to her or reminded her of, and she said it was about sunshine and playing in a pile of sand with the sun shining.

I asked her how old she was and what else she could remember while she was tapping the karate chop point.  She answered, “I was about four years old.  I remember a blue shovel and a bucket, painted with large ladybirds (ladybugs).  For me they looked threatening and I was afraid of them.  My big brothers wanted to tease me and sat ladybirds and other beetles on my arms and on my head.  Now I remember I was panicking, nothing could touch my head afterwards, because I started to cry immediately.

I asked her if her headaches started with a sort of tickling - as if little beetles were crawling in her hair.  She was stunned that we made the connection and we started tapping.

Even though I always start panicking if something unknown touches my head and I react with headaches…

I asked her to tell the whole story while we tapped one point after another.

This panic ... the crawling is so awful ... I don´t know what it is ... it makes me afraid ... I could explode ... I am so angry ... but anger makes it much worse ... instead my head explodes with pain ... the panic of the next attack that will come ... the panic of the next caper of my brothers ... I cannot defend myself ... they are stronger than me ... if I resist they punish me ... I have fear ... I cannot tell my mother ... she will tell not to blame my brothers ... I get such headaches ... it hurts, it crawls ... I don´t know what it is ... it is threatening ... but I know these ladybirds are harmless ... I don´t have to fear them ... I don´t have to fall into panic ... I know they are harmless ... I don´t need to get any headache anymore ...

Because I could not blame my brothers my head exploded ... but it is not necessary any longer ... I let the headaches go ... I can defend myself now ... against my brothers ... against anyone who wants to hurt me ... I now tell my Inner Child: you are allowed to defend yourself ... these little ladybirds are harmless ... she can drive them away from her hair ... and they are happy to be free again ... they fly away ... she is free too ... she can be sure that her brothers don´t want to harm her in such a way ... they only wanted to tease her ... they didn´t know what they caused with that ... but now she can let it go ... it belongs to the past ... like her headache...

She breathed out deeply.  Tears of joy and release were in her eyes.  She became conscious of how deeply this story influenced her relationship to her brothers.  A month later she told me on the phone that the relationship to her family changed profoundly and the best of all: her headaches were gone too!

Thank you for all your work and support.

Gabriele
